Library Launches New Book Group

Looking for a way to meet new people and read great books? Try making the "Book Connection." Book Connection is the library's new book discussion group. The group will meet every third Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The scheduled books are varied and interesting. Copies of the books are available to borrow. Check out the lineup of upcoming books.

  • September 20 -- The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks
    See the book that made the movie...a tender story of the enduring power of love.
  • October 18 -- All Over but the Shoutin' by Rick Bragg
    Bragg offers a haunting and inspiring memoir of triumph over tough circumstances.
  • November 15 -- Oh My Stars by Lorna Landvik
    Meet Violet, an endearing character, as she navigates the ups and downs of her tragic life.
  • January 17 -- Crazy Ladies by Michael Lee West
    Explore the trials and tribulations of six Southern women in the early 1930s.
  • February 21 -- The Perfect Storm by Sebastian Junger
    Read this thrilling true story about career fishermen that inspired the popular movie.
  • March 21 -- Outer Banks by Anne Rivers Siddons
    Follow four friends from their college experience in the '60s to their reunion 28 years later.
