Your New Address for Answers

The library recently adopted a new web address: "We wanted to provide the public with an address that was easier to remember and simpler to type," said Systems Administrator Tony Willis.

The library's web site houses a variety of helpful resources. The online catalog allows patrons to browse the library's collection, and reserve and request materials. Patrons can learn more about upcoming library activities and register for events through the site's Calendar link.

The site offers many databases, including LearningExpressLibrary, a resource which helps patrons prepare for scholastic and career related tests such as the SAT and GED; HeritageQuest Online, a history and genealogy database that features searchable census information; NoveList and BooksInPrint, which help patrons find reading material that will interest them; and INSPIRE, a collection of databases. In addition, the web site provides access to BookLetters, a series of online newsletters for a variety of audiences.

The site was recently featured in the Pacesetter Newsletter, an online industry resource. "Their website's pleasing blue background offers a wonderful backdrop for the graphics used to promote their materials," noted the newsletter.
